Slow crank when it's cold
Below freezing a weak battery shows itself first. If it labors on a 20-degree morning, it's on the way out.

You jumped it recently
One jump start is a warning. Two is the battery telling you it's done.

One thing straight: some newer cars need the battery registered to the computer, and a few are buried under a seat or a fender liner. We’ll tell you on the phone if yours is one of those before you drive over.
